Revenge for loved ones
Scarlet Winters, a little girl, she has nothing but sadness of one can only get. At a very young age, she lost her eyesight in an accident. It was then she realized her love for language arts because she could not read anymore. She would go down to the library every single night with her beloved, white haired grandfather and sit in a chair with a book in her hands, asking her grandfather to read her the book. The doctor had said her trauma was too great to be fully healed and the chances for her to be able to see again was very dim. Tears flowed out of her foxy, blue eyes as she tells herself to accept the reality; but her mind and heart would never give up.
There are others just like her, each with their own story to tell: Lexi Everett, Kolton Chapman, Seth Elliott, and Tyson Cummings. The five of them were suffered by reality and the misfortune put upon them. Their developing brains could only take up so much.
One night, Scarlet was walking with her grandfather to their usual library, to sit on their usual chair with the same book in her hands. The sky is dark and raining, the sidewalk is wet and slippery, street lights are flashing; little Scarlet awkwardly bumps into a man, a doctor, and falls on the ground. Her hands press deep into the mud. Time seems to freeze with Scarlet’s crying. What has she done to be treated this way, she thought, why can't she live normally like the other kids.
The man introduces himself as Dr.Lee. A flash of hope runs by Scarlet's pure blue eyes as she thinks that maybe, he can cure her. AND SHE IS RIGHT! He can cure her eyes; but not with medicine. His method is to train her. He believes that the human brain can be trained and retrained over again. If one part of her brain shutes down her eyesight, then the only way for her to see again is to open up another part. But she will have to be strong. She will require a very capable physical and mental ability. Scarlet picks up her book, determined, even if risking her chances of failing again; asks Dr.Lee to excuse her clumsiness.
"I am fine, little girl. It is you whom I'm worried about." said Dr.lee. "Well, I best be going then. Good day now."
He nodes at Scarlet's grandfather and walks away.
Hearing the sound of foot steps of Dr.Lee disappearing was frightening. What if she misses it; Scarlet tells herself. She can not face herself letting him walk away just like that. Struggling on what to do, she decides to not let herself regret for letting go of this great opportunity, and from the moment she turns around, she know that she did the right thing. She is finally happy for once in her life since the accident of losing her eyesight.

15 years has passed. Little Scarlet is no longer a little girl anymore. She is now 23 years old with a pair of beautiful blues eyes, shinning as ever, matching her perfectly straight brown hair to her shoulder. Her eyes were cured a long time ago, but to repay her gratitude to the doctor, she has decided to stay, and help out. The doctor taught her everything she wanted to know from using a chopstick to hunting a beast for food, to understanding words and arts. Dr.Lee gave her everything, enough to say that he has given Scarlet a new life.
December 18, Thursday, Scarlet is on a rabbit hunt. Their forest is often filled with games. The area though, is awfully silent, masking the predator from its prey. Scarlet senses an intense feeling given off in the forest but she is too focus on her victim to notice that she is being tailed. Approaching her rabbit, she hides behind a blue-berry bush covered in snow, dropping baits within her reach; she pulls out her dagger and ready to strike for the kill. In a blink of an eye, a long arrow flies by piercing the rabbit’s heart, the least painful death for a hunt.
"Ughs!" Scarlet complains.
All of her tracking work and preparation are gone, defeated.
"Kolton!" she yells.
Nothing came back. She scans the area, turning around, figuring out camouflages and Kolton just appears behind her. She bends down, at a perfect moment, balancing her body only on her right foot, upper kicks Kolton; Both hands on the ground, side swings her right foot, twisting her body sideways, sweeps the ground and Kolton falls on his back. Before he gets the chance to retaliate, Scarlet is already holding her dagger at his throat.
"That's what you get for sneaking up behind me." Scarlet says. "And killing my hunt."
"Dr.Lee needs you." Kolton says.
Curiosity shows up on her face.
Scarlet says, "Well, why didn't you just say so?"
She extends her left hand toward Kolton and puts her dagger back with her right. She pulls him up and says, "Come on, big guy, let's go."
They laugh and make their way through the forest.
Dr.lee says "There they are!" to his guest.
"Come at once." He says, "This is Lexi Everett." "Lexi, this is Kolton Chapman and Scarlet Winters." He continues, "Kolton, can you get the guys down here.
I would like them to meet Miss Everett over here." Kolton runs up stairs while Scarlet stays with Lexi. It is awkward for Scarlet to stand there with a dead rabbit while the two of them talks about tea and baked goods. She put the rabbit in a pot and said "So what brings you here?"
Dr.Lee answers, "You and the others are going to town. Lexi will be going with you. She knows the place well."
Lexi says, "Its true."
"I heard we are going to town!" Seth said excitedly.
"Apparently yes." Scarlet reassured him.
"What?" Kolton asks.
Tyson interrupted and said "Yes! Finally!" Seth agrees with him.
Seth says, "So who is this girl over here?" "Hey, I'm Seth. Smartest man in the house! If you ever need company, hook me up." He added.
"Nice to meet you too Seth." Lexi says. She walks up to Seth, whispers in his ear, "Tonight, my room, after dinner." Seth smirks.
Kolton looks out the window and he sees a group of deer run by.
"Looks like we are having deer tonight." Kolton says.
Scarlet, Tyson, Seth cheers happily and runs after him. The four of them are a great team. They love to play with their hunt, each with their own specialties, and practiced their skills on it. Seth is a strategist. He would set up deadly traps nearby and lure the victim in. Tyson is the strength. His brutal strength allows him to snap the deer's head single handed. Scarlet is the stealth and flexibility. She can blend in with the environment and at the proper moment, dagger the deer to its death. Kolton is an archer. Probably the strongest of them all. Once he set eyes on a target, he can kill it at any place, any time because his arrows are so accurate, he has never missed once.
They each returns with their kill, comparing the sizes of their deer and the time they took to kill them. Four deer and a rabbit fille the kitchen table. Everyday, the cook would have a mini heart attack because it seemed like everyday, there would be more dead bodies lying around in her kitchen staring at her with their bulging eyes. Her fear and the boys' never ending prank filled the house as a whole. Everything was perfect.
"To family." Dr.Lee said holding up his glass of wine.
"To family." Everyone said.
Dinner was great. The food were delicious. They talked. They laughed. They argued. Everyone was happy.
After dinner, they each departed back to their own room packing up for their trip. Everyone else went to sleep except for Seth and Lexi. Seth opened his door, making his way to Lexi's room. He heard foot steps down stairs but he didn't see anyone. Lexi waited for him on her bed. Seth came in, walked to Lexi, bended down and kissed her. Their kiss seemed to last forever. Lexi pulled away, gave Seth and herself a drink and went back to their kiss.
December 19th, Friday. Scarlet broke into Lexi's room checking if she was fine but she saw Seth instead.
"Seth! What are you doing?" Scarlet asked.
"Well, umm, well I..." Seth mumbled. "Hey, where's Lexi?" He asks. "Kolton and Tyson are looking for her.. But Dr.Lee is dead!" Scarlet said.
"What!?" Seth asked.
Scarlet walked over to Seth, crying over his shoulder.
She said. "He is dead. Seth. He was murdered. " Seth put her arms around her and remained silent.
Lexi was later found fainted in the back yard wounded, She would have died if the cook had not found her so soon. The five of them went separate ways to different places around the world, gathering clues to who killed Dr.Lee and why. Lexi and Seth went south beyond the forest to the coast. Scarlet and Tyson went west to the main land and Kolton went east, across the ocean to the islands.
August 2nd,Saturday. It had been over half a year since the five of them last met. Kolton met a girl in a bar and fell in love with her, Celeste Bouchard. The three pairs had decided to meet up at home on this day. When Scarlet arrived with Tyson, the others were already there, and waiting. A welcome back feast was held and Celeste was introduced to the team. She had no fighting skills like Scarlet or the knowledge of medicines, drugs and poison like Lexi but owning a bar gives her the advantage to gather necessary informations and such. With that, she had found the killer and his name is J Fernandez.
One day have passed. Preparation is ready. Scarlet, stabbing a sword into the ground, meaning a war has just started. It will be removed until it is over. Everyone gathered around the sword, putting arms on each other’s shoulder and praying for their victory. The sky was crying and roaring like the likes of which we had never seen before. Meanwhile, J Fernandez, happily celebrating on his success of killing Dr.Lee. Haven’t realize what kind of danger he is in right now.
August 15th, Friday night. The moon is like the eye of the sky, watching from above upon them. The winds are surprisingly cold. J Fernandez, playing with his children in his own house as usual. While, Kolton is hiding on the roof top across the street aiming with his bow, Seth and Celeste are waiting for the good news back at home, Lexi is pretending to be delivering Chinese chicken wings, Tyson as the driver, but the food was already poisoned, and lastly, Scarlet is on the roof top of the house ready to strike down the target. However, then, she saw how cute and happy their family is, the feeling is warm and passionate. Those children will have to suffer the pain of losing their love ones if their dad was killed, she thought. Scarlet and the others' heart are moved by their love for each other. Scarlet does not want another person to be drag into this war, therefore, they have decided to call off the operation.
At last, everyone cried like they have never done it before, letting out the feelings of bitter and pain. Hugging together, burying the pain of losing their loved ones into the arm of their friends. But one thing still remained mystery, why would J Fernandez kill Dr.Lee?
